You will need an adapter, this one will work.
Phayee adapter (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43441&item=3865219929)
Maybe you want to look at this page to understand adapters ..Click on FZ10 and then adapter tubes.

I have a Raynox 2020 pro and I like it a lot but I want you to understand it vignettes up to 12X which does not make it a good walk around lens, but if you need the 2.2 power it is a fine lens.

will that adapter also work with a smaller optical zoom lens such as a 1.85x or a 1.54x also?

That adapter will work with any lens or filter. The thing is its 62mm where the lens screws in so if you had say a Tcon17 you would also need a 62mm to 55mm stepdown ring or better yet a 62mm to 55 mm flat thread converter which adds almost no extra distance from the lens.
This is a stepdown ringhttp://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=98922&is=REG
Flat thread converter (http://www.photosolve.com/eShop/10Browse.asp?Category=Thread%20Converters%20and%20 Stepping%20Rings)

Since you are first starting out with lenses. It might be a good idea to try to select which lenses you want and get a suitable adaptor. I knew I wanted to use the Nikon 6T close up lens and the Olympus TCON-14B so I got a Pemaraal 62 mm adaptor (the phaylee mentioned earlier is also very popular and recommended) so you don't need many, if any, setdown rings. If you choose a range lf lenses in the 55mm thread range, you may consider an adaptor for that size. I'm all about having the lenses I want with the least amount of related stuffs that I would also need to carry around to use them.
Another thing worth mentioning is filters. The smaller the diameter, the cheaper they are, typically. 62mm filters are considerably less expensive than 72mm (the size of the included Panasonic adaptor). In turn, 55mm filters are considerably less expensive than 62mm, and so on.
