I have been lurking on these forums for the past week (since I bought my DMC-FZ20) and have read post after post after post of helpful information. I've learned a lot just by browsing the forum and reading what people had to write and wanted to say 'Thank you' to everyone that delivers helpful advice and good practices.

With that said, I do have a couple of questions. I am very new to this side of the digital camera world. I've had a sony for ages and a Kodak prior to that. This is the first 'real' digital camera that I've owned, so I'm very new to all these manual setting abilities and optional accessories that can be purchased; although I'm learning very quickly! But what I am using it for most is long range shots of animals. I've been contemplating purchasing the DMW-LTZ10 lens, but would really like to see some example shots taken from it first. Does anyone know where I can see some sample shots that are also compared to the 1x & 12x zoom that the camera offers?

I read on here a post that pointed to another forum w/ sample shots.. but was hoping to avoid registering at two forums just to see some shots w/ that lens. Maybe someone has another suggestion, where I don't have to register. :)

Thanks again for everyones support on here.. it's been a joy to read and learn!

Here are shots to photos with the Panasonic lens, and while it is a great lens all these photos were taken in great light by a good photographer.
I am not sure it is 400 dollars better than a TL55 or 14B but thats your call.http://photobucket.com/albums/y28/smac_55/

Well, as I said.. I'm still new so if there is indeed a lens that's just as good but less expensive.. I'll get it, as long as it's as good. :D Where could I take a look at those lens shots, if there are any?!?

Here are some photo's that I've taken so far, while learning. Of course, these are some of my favorites.

And since I am new and these are all amature shots.. please leave some feedback. Constructive feedback is appreciated. :)

I really think that the 2 lens I mentioned are very good Quality.
Canon TL55 (http://www.adorama.com/CATL55.html?searchinfo=tl55&item_no=1)

And
14B (http://www.adorama.com/IOM145XE10.html?searchinfo=14B&item_no=3)

You need to make up your own mind

Some great shots Xenifide! I esp. like the snake (awesome), parrot, jaguar and tiger. (I happen to be watching a show on jaguar's on Discovery HD right now and was momentarily confused when I saw your shot! What is the TV show doing on my computer screen??? )
