I was browsing in a local camera shop yesterday and picked-up a Sigma 28-80 Macro (1:2). It's an inexpensive lens but works great - it's quiet and pretty fast AF. The MF ring is a little loose but I find it very easy to lock focus on the the subject, compared to for example the Nikon 60mm micro. Anyway, yesterday was a tax free day in Massachusetts so I couldn't resist for under $100. The only downside is another lens to lug around! Here are a couple samples - no post-processing.

Quite nice! I hope the 18-125 is that good. Will let everyone know as soon as I can.

Picked up the 18-125 yesterday evening. I will try to post some shots up on smugmug tonight. So far, so good. But I want to actually do a side-by-side with the Nikkor 18-70. The extra 82mm of reach is definately nice.
