Debating on getting either Adobe Elements 3 or Paint Shop Pro 9. I'm new to digital editing. I'd like something pretty easy to use but offers a lot of features. Heard a lot of great things about both!

Thanks,
Rusty

I have Elements 2.0 and PSP 8.10 and it's hard to say which is best. They can both bring different things to the party as it were so I'd guess that it's going to be the same for their newer siblings.

They both have quite steep learning curves and to get the best out of either it's going to have to be sitting down with some on-line tutorials (there are lots and lots of good ones), the help files though they're not the best or a good book about each.

If you're definitely committed to one or the other then very probably you'll find PSP that bit easier to use - and it does have the advantage of having masking functions built in whereas Elements (at least to version 2.0) has to be coaxed into doing a sort of pseudo-masking.

On balance I found Elements to be the more "difficult" to handle but don't let that persuade you - it might just be me!

Whichever one you choose, you won't be disappointed, that is for sure.
