HELP with fugi finepix 2800 series- - - -

Hi, Recently a friend gave me his fugifilm finepix 2800 series camera , because he had purchased a new one. With the camera he gave me a users manual, and usb connection cord, but no connection software. It occured to me that I must need the software CD-Rom to install onto my computer so that I will be able to transfer pictures from the camera to my pc. My question is would there be any way to set up the camera and add the pictures onto my computer without this CD-Rom, and if not how can I get one of these Cd-Roms?

Wow, sorry to take so long to answer this. I don't check the Fuji board that often, because I don't own one.

The best way it to use a Smart Media card reader (usually part of a 6 in 1 or 8 in 1 card reader) and use it to download your images to a file folder on your PC or MAC.

Once you have done that then you can use any number of photo editors to look at, resize, or modify your pictures. If you don't have one then you might try Irfanview as a basic free editor at:

Or buy a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 for a more complete package.

and then download irfanview (or another image viewing program) to view. Otherwise, you can also use your Windows or Mac built-in viewers.
