View Full Version : New owner of pana fz15
Hi all. I'm new here in the forum and I found this site while searching on pana fz15. Just right now found the box on top of my working area. Haven't inspect it yet but one thing I noticed is it is not factory sealed. Is this normal with panasonic products? I previously owned a dmc-lc43 and sold it to my bro. I don't remember if it is in factory sealed when I bought it from the store.
Anyway I'm too excited with this thing and want also excited to learn the basics of digital photography. By the way, I'm from Philippines and working in the US (assigned to client) as a programmer.

I bought my FZ15 from ibuydigital.com about four weeks ago, came in a dusty looking box, but all
the goodies were sealed in plastic bags etc. The
camera was in pristine condition and has performed
well so far, lots of learning to do and a very exciting
camera to use and own. One little quirk was that the
flash will not be programmed until you deploy the
flash head by pressing the 'open' button.

Neither my LC33 or my FZ3 came in a sealed box. The boxes were closed by tabs and flaps, but they were not sealed. The items inside were all packaged nicely in plastic bags, some of which were sealed and some of which were not. I don't think Panasonic seals their boxes with tape.

I agree my FZ10 & 20 came the same way. Closed but not sealed and they appeared to have had the contents checked. I have no reason to believe that the cameras had been used, in fact Onecall sent 64 FZ20's out the day they shipped mine.
