Did you Buy Vupoint's 6.0 MP Camera?

Did you buy Vupoint's 6.0 megapixel camera? It turns out that it is a total piece of crap. They say it is 6 MP, but it's not. They just give you software to "enhance" the image. But that's just a lie to sell you a camera. If you did buy it, I work for a law firm and we are trying to compile lists of people who have purchaed the camera to see if they have had a similar crappy experience with their camera. I've never heard of Vupoint! :confused: Sounds like a camera to avoid just by seeing the name. Did you read any reviews on it, shop around,etc.? Why did you select that particular brand/model?

I don't think you can sue them. Some other companies use internal interpolation software to bump up the megapixel count to double its original size. Now if this is totally external software, that's a different story...

Just because other companies are doing too, doesn't prevent it from being fraud. Considering that MP is the benchmark by which most people compare cameras, fraudulently inflating the censor's capability by using an interpolated number is fraud inside, outside or however.
