Choice between Kingston or King Max

I am going to get an sd card for my new Canon A510.
My choices are-

Kingston 256 for less than $10.

or

King Max 60X High Speed 256, 512, 1 Gig @ $24, $40, and $80 respectively.

I have heard great things from both, more King Max than Kingston. I'm just wondering which one is the best deal. I'll only use it in the camera.

If you want the speed, get the kingmax. It's nice to have if you use an external card reader. It might even be necessary if you have a camera with a high data rate movie mode like the KM Z2 at 640x480 30fps. However, $10 is a good price for a 256 card, so I would buy one anyway, just for a spare. :cool:

you get what you pay for. I picked up a 512mb Kingston for CDN$40 and was not impressed with the data transfer. It took noticeably longer b/t picture taking compared to my ATP 45X 512mb CF.
However if u're not in a rush, then it's alright I guess. I'm just gonna relegate that Kingston CF to backup purposes only. I believe the Kingston CF Pro is a faster version. But also more $$$.
