Happy 14th.
It's sad to read your comment about the financials on the front page but I guess none of us have to be Eisenstein to see the drop off in forum use which I guess is a reflection of overall traffic.
From me thank you very much for the information and hours and hours of useful time I have been able to spend here. Regardless of the eventual fate of this site I will always remember this site and its forum as my first real source of unbiased digital camera information and advice.

Now I have a question for you.
Why do you not have a Facebook page for this site and if you do why do you not promote it actively?

This website is the only reason I am where I am today with photography thanks to the wonderful reviews and forum members. So I'm going to go look at the donation page and see how I can make a small contribution from my side. Here's hoping for many more years to come for DCresource.

EDIT: is Paypal the only way to make donations??

Happy anniversary Jeff, very sad to hear about the financial difficulties

Every digital camera I have ever purchased has been based on your reviews I haven't been a forum member anywhere near as long as I have frequented your review page

Let's hope we can save this ship

Hi Jeff!

Well, I don't think anyone could say it better than K1W1 already has done. I do want to personally congratulate you for providing us with 14 years of very hard work. I learned a lot from this site and found it extremely valuable. I think the regulars here kind of saw this coming, beginning with the way Canon suddenly treated you about a year ago. The Standford University treatment didn't help at all either. The smartphone camera has sadly put a major dent in serious cameras. Millions now feel it's "Good Enough" and they're just no longer as interested in stand alone dedicated cameras. They're wrong, but what can we do.

I hope you're still here next year, but if not we all understand. You made a difference man . . . you made a real difference and you will NOT be forgotten by any of us!

thanks for the support. We have a Facebook page - there should be a little "Like" button at the top-right of every page. Are you not seeing it?

Yes the button is there for me Jeff. I must admit to not being a facebook or twitter member so hadn't been looking for it but I did think it was part of the adverts at first so ignored it. Hope the future is not as bleak as you made it sound. I would also miss this site. It's been a big part of rekindling my love of photography.
