There are no "best" cards for a particular camera. On a large scale, there's no difference between San Disk and Lexar. I personally prefer Lexar, but their cards tend to be more expensive and more elusive.
You do not need to buy a high speed card since the A75 doesn't take advantage of one. For a 3 MP camera, 256 MB should be enough. Cards are so cheap now that getting anything smaller is a waste of money.
a 3mp camera will use up an average maximum of 1.5 mb of memory per shot at maximum quality setting, but it usually takes less. so if you want to know what the minimum # of shot you can get from a certain card with your camera, just divide the size of the card by 1.5
a 256 card should be more than enough for a full day of shooting, but if you will be away on vacation without a way to download, you may want to consider a larger capacity. also consider that if have lets say 512mb of memory, and the card malfunctions or gets damaged, you will loose all your pictures. but if you had lets say two 256mb cards and something happens then you only loose half.
consider a large capacity card if you plan on shooting a lot of video clips - it takes up a lot of memory and fast! i also prefer lexar and sandisk because they seem to be much less likely to fail.

There is not much difference between the two brands. Both are equally good. Just look at the write speed and capacity.
