card formatting

I have a Fuji s2 and recently when downloading pics from Microdrive card to computer, I "moved" the files rather than "Copying" them. Now when I try and use the card I get the message card not initalized and it will not format.

anyone have any ideas how to reformat the card?

Next time you put the card in the camera choose format card from the LCD panel on the back. I can't remember the exact path to get there on the S2, but it should be pretty easy to find. This should get your card back in working order.

This does not work. The s2 says "format ok" but when I try to use the card to take pics, I get card not initialized. I have also tried to reformat the card in a Fuji s7000 and get the same messages. :confused:

any other ideas?

With my fugi, I find that if my batteries are on the low side, I will get the card not itialized error. I put in fresh batteries and I am up and running again everytime. The micro drives seems to have the most difficulty intializing when the batteries are getting down to the end.
