Canon A510

Waiting for Jeff's review before I decide on the A85 or the A510. Can't find the A75 anywhere in stock for less than what I can get the A85 for.

Any thoughts on the A510? Can anyone support/negate the shutter lag rumor? Does it live up to the A75?

There was some discussion today on the A510 shutter lag issue in the Canon forum, under the thread "A510/520, LZ1/LZ2 gallery." You might want to go check that out. Seems like there are some issues with flash recharge time and shutter lag that people are finding, although it also seems there are some ways to reduce it...

I suggest you get the A75. The A510 is too new - and yes, there's that rumor.
