Well I had a HP Photosmart 735 for about a year now and it seems like it's not so great with my tastes. I hate how it has so much red-eye and it has horrible indoor shots. Night shots are pretty bad too. I think I'm ready to get a new camera. The most I can spend is $500 for a it. I really need your help with which one I should get. I would like to take indoor shots without it being dark and having red-eye. Plus I would like to have amazing night shots. The night shots don't have to be awesome, but really good for it's price range. I've been looking at the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P150, but I'm not really sure if that's the best I can get. I also prefer to have the smallest size possible with it's capabilities so I can bring it around, but I don't want to sacrifice quality. Can I have some opinions from veterans in the photography field?

If you have any other questions on my preferences just ask me and I will answer them. Thank you.

My suggestion is Panasonic's FX-7. It has a compact size, anti-shake function, anti red-eye pre-flash, 5MP, large LCD monitor (2.5") and Leica Lens, and the street price is US$450-$500, it's a real bargain! The only weakness is the camera does not have a viewfinder, but a camera of this size, how many people will use the viewfinder? I bet if you go to a shop and have a try, you don't want to leave the shop without it!

Those seem good, but are there ones with absolutaly no red-eye? The Sony I showed had none from the review here.

Red eye is easily removable using software, even free software. The FZ-20 is too big for what he described. You may want to look instead at the FZ-4/FZ-5.

The Sony I showed had none from the review here.I took 23 photos last evening at a party of various people at different distances and poses, and I saw not one single red eye in the whole group of shots! But if it's too big, it's too big. Helluva camera, though! :o

Is there a good camera that's a size that I can easily slip into my pocket? But when I take a picture it would be good quality? Cause I wanna get into photography, but I'm not that serious. I wanna be able to bring the camera in my pocket anywhere I go just in case I see something cool.
