hi,
anybody know how to fix this? i shot some images on a sd200, looks great on the mini lcd, near perfect exposure, but if i download them to my computer, the images are too dark. how do you best correct the light levels? i tried photoshop and sliding the gamma across applied to the entire image, but while the whites turned whiter, the darks and shadows became washed out.

I had exactly that problem. It turned out to be a bad monitor. If when you print, the pictures are fine then the problem is definitely the monitor in which case I suggest taking it down to the local dump site and buying a decent monitor. I had the monitor that came with my computer. Now I have a new LCD monitor and things have never looked better. The whites are white; the blacks are black and all the colours are there.
