I think it would be helpful if this was included in future reviews. You had two excellent reviews of competing cameras (Panasonic ZS7 and Sony HX5v) that included a review of their video mode but there was no test or mention of the audio performance (other than there was no provision for hooking up an external mic).
I initially purchased the Sony, but a comment by a poster on dpreview mentioned returning it due to high distortion at muic concerts. This concernend me and I tried it both with recorded home concerts and at a Bluegrass festival last weekend. The result was my also returning it. I also tried the Panisonic (ordered from Abes linked through your website by the way), and it did much better. In addition to the distortion, the mics in the Sony had no base response at all.
It would be helpful if this became part of you reviews, as with current cameras now supportinh HD recording, their ability of also doing a reasonable job with the audio recording will be important.
