Yvette had never modeled before, and I had to pretend I knew what I was doing by teaching her the ropes. Photo session from first [uncomfortable as h*ll] shot to last was 32 minutes. My only prior experience with a "model" was a then-15 year old niece of my brother in law, back in 2007 or so. The rest of Yvette's session was in a bikini but she doesn't want me to show them to anyone.

EDIT: The car belongs to a guy who happened to be driving by. I stopped him and asked if we could use his car. That's why it's not exactly spotless.

Sweaty palms the whole time :D ?

Nicely done set. Had you used additional lighting - catchlight in her eyes?

I like the lighting in #2, the conversion in #3, and #5. Did smile at all?

She has gorgeous eyes and you really captured that. Well done.

Hum, maybe its me, but it looks like the Left side of her face (so the right side of the picture) was brought up in PP with fill light or shadow slider.... So i guess the original picture had that side a bit on the dark side ?

Other then that, not much to comment, the posing is pretty good and the lighting definitely works, n4 is probably the one that works the least for me, some burning might help separate her face from her neck and i think the angle is making her forehead seem huge...

Its hard to comment on pictures like this, because the subject is the model, and a model with little experience is just not going to come out as strong no matter what the photog does.

Next time, you try wearing the bikini :)

Haha believe it or not I wasn't nervous. The whole "untouchable sexy goddess" thing wore off via texting. Besides, my car broke down and she offered me a lift when we were initially supposed to shoot. Once you break it down to that level of pathetic, there's nothing left to worry about. ;)

Haha she smiles. A lot. I had to teach her to be pouty. I fell in love with that, so I ran with it.

That last one is nice. The green top compliments her eye and hair color.

She's got a lovely smile and the one of her smiling is lit really well.

I love the last one best, not because shes in a bikini but because of the overall face, the hair compliments it really well, the light is sculpting her just right the way, and her eyes are really nice!

The bikini does help though, not sure about it being Lime green...

I like 'em all but the 1st Don (seems a bit too straight on). She should be pleased with them.

Lighting?

Just natural light. I had no idea that alley was a high traffic area on Thursday evenings.

don, you'd be surprised how "touchable" the untouchable can be. off topic. as i've gotten older, i don't care anymore. i say what i want to them, if they respond, i go from there....if they don't, i move on to the next. but you'll surprise yourself by how much they will respond.

i agree as far as photography is concerned though, it can be uncomfortable and you definitely have to be professional before and during the shoot.

You know, i thought about something...

If your having a big photoshoot, MUA Artist, Hair Stylist, 2 Assistants, and you don't realize it but get wood...

Playing it off would have to be the epitome of smooth.

Howcome they haven't made a commercial like that yet ? I can see Axe or something in that direction, he saves the day by spraying himself or something.

Aaah, ok i'm just tired way too much editing.

On topic of "untouchable" i find that models, girls in general who try to be very pretty, will want to appeal to people, especially a photographer that can give them that, they will definitely at least try to work with you.

On a saturday night in a club, if you're wearing shorts, maybe not. On a photoshoot with a camera... Yeah they play nice, its in their best interest. Nothing to be afraid of.

But maybe some of them are into the whole broken down puppy needs a ride thing, give it another try next time ;)

LMAO. I don't care about that. She has a boyfriend so I wouldn't "go there" but I hit on her and her friend/roommate anyway. It's all part of the process. Problem is, I can't show you guys the really good stuff. ;)

I threw professional right out the window on this one. It was 100% casual and I think they really liked the experience.
