My camera worked great for the first 3-4 months then all of a sudden it started chewing up batteries. I can put a fresh set in, doesn't matter what type, leave it on the shelf and it's dead within 2-3 days. When I take pictures, the batteries only last for about 10 shots. Has anyone heard about this problem? Thanks.

The D-390 was reviewed on 05/27/03 at http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/D390/D39A.HTM. I believe Jeff reviewed it on 2003-03-02 at http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/cameraDetail.php?cam=452.
It's a camera that is now some 2 years old. If you've had it for less than a year and if it's still under guarantee then returning it for a guarantee repair seems a good idea. It seems that something's gone amiss inside it.
If you've had it longer then it sounds like time to get a newer, better camera.
