Canon sd300 or casio ex-Z55

Both look and perform great and cost about the same. Any majer issues with either of them? Thanks in advance.

Both cameras are pretty similar in capability. The Casio has a bigger screen, but it's lower in resolution than the 2" one on the Canon. Also note the the Canon has a AF assist lamp, so it can focus in lower light conditions while the Casio can't. Other than that, they are more or less the same thing with the Canon having slightly more manual controls. I'd take the Canon over the Casio, but you can't go wrong with either.
