I'm new to photo editing and at the urge of some of you recently downloaded Picasca2. It seems simple enough I just have a few questions.
When I double click on a photo to edit- crop,red-eye etc then what? Do I hit export so I dont save over the origional photo? If I do this it then asks me if I want to resize my photo ot 800 pixels or do I want to hit origional size?
It will also ask me about Jpeg setting 85%-??? Maybe I shouldnt be in exports. My goal is to download photos, edit then burn to a cd and take to Longs and have prints made.
I'm not sure what to click on to burn to cd as there seems to be several choices.
any suggestions to this newbe would be GREATLY appreciated!

Have you checked the Picasa 2 forums? I don't think exporting will lead you to burning a CD.

How do I find a picasa forum? I also just checked out the "basic digital photography' site. Maybe I should go with paint shop pro 9 or Ulead photo impact 10.

The original photo will be untouched even if you save the changes. If you want a copy of the edited picture, export at the original size and 90% JPEG quality. You can burn the CD right from Picasa and I believe it will use the editied version of the pictures. You can also order prints right from Picasa. Snapfish has probably the best quality/price ratio.
Have you thought about using the help file? (F1) This is pretty basic stuff and is explained in detail there.

Hi Zoomer - thanks for posting the link. I personally use Picasa for quick image management and edits. For detailed image editing, I still prefer PSP 9 or PhotoImpact 10.
