I've noticed several places online where they host your photo galleries -- sometimes for free. I saw links on the DCRP Resource Page (http://www.dcresource.com/links/), but I'd like your recommendations.

Which service do you prefer? (Especially for no cost, if possible.)

I know this is not exactly what you were referring to, but I know a lot of the online photo printing companies allow you to upload unlimited amounts of photos to their servers. I don't think you will be able to freely share these with other people (IE: probably require a password to view) but if you were just looking for a place to store them, that will work :)

:confused:I like http://www.smugmug.com; I think you can join it for free, with limited hosting space. I pay $30/year, and I just got a free year's renewal by referring 3 users to the place over the course of the last year. But you can upload full-size images to Smugmug, display smaller down-sampled images at sites like this one without having to resize it yourself, and you can also order prints at competitive cost.

Hi
I quite like webshots, as previously recommended by a few people here. Here's my gallery http://community.webshots.com/user/bluepeter26
look at the features of what you'd get out of it, if I'm sharing my photos with you (which I am!).

Its useful to allow thumbnails & full screen size, and you can download from my gallery the actual file (I think there's a limit of 5 a day or something).
All free!

Pete

I came across www.pbase.com. You can sign up for basic storage space, but for more there is a fee.

I have a free account with webshots but they are limited to only 240 pics of storage that is why am now using Yahoo photos because they give you unlimited photo storage. I also tried shutterfly but you can't make your albums public

why not do what I do? I have my own website with 100mb of webspace.

Look at www.sageworld.co.uk/personal/Flowers/Flowers.html as an example.

Welcome back Senior (no tilde available). How was the trip? You have missed several sales opportunities, but we tried to fill in. ;)
