I just wanted to share with others my excellent customer experience I had with J&R Music and Computer World – I was shopping for a specific digital camera and they had it for one of the lowest prices on the web, and since they were a name I recognized, I decided to write them an email, via there Customer Service link, since I wanted to insure that this particular camera came with US warranty and check if they had some sort of price protection if I found the camera for less in the next 30 days . . . well, to begin with, they never got back me to over an entire business week (and I sent them email reminder after 2 days of no response) . . . then, they raised the specific camera by $15 (please note this wasn’t a 1 week special/sale – this was their everyday price) . . . how’s that for beautiful customer service! . . . let the buyer beware

Yes, they should have responded but A LOT of companies are lax about returning calls/email esp. to a not-yet customers. I advise you to call them next time if you are in a hurry...

I realize that you may have had a bad experience with this retailer, but I would not put them on the isolation list. I have been to their store in NYC and it is enormous. I live in Connecticut and from what I have heard they are a pretty reputable dealer. Again, I don't doubt that you had a bad experience, but all in all they pretty good. They are not a little devious corner shop looking to sell you some knockoff product. Overall they have a reason to keep their good name. I would suggest that you call them and tell them your situation (that you were waiting for a response before you bought the camera) they may sell it to you for $15 cheaper. Good luck with your buying.
