I just shot 1200 pics with my D90 and 18-200VR, with and without SB600 flash, of my granddaughter rehearsing for a Nutcracker dance performance.
I was on the stage, with overhead, side and front stage lighting coloring the sets. I shot mostly S priority at 1/250 sec, and auto ISO, with the lower limit at 1250.
I used manual WB, running temps from 2500 to 5500, trying to balance the skin tones. For the most part I failed miserably with yellow and red lighting. Nothing seemed to work. The girls were all painted pink...
Is there any way to do it right, or am I doomed to using Photoshop level adjustments, which help but still can't get things back to normal.?
Thanks,
Ron
