in another life, i'm a part time junior accounts wizard for Christian Dior here in Aus.
from time to time, I'm called up to cover their events, basically cos i'm cheaper, convenient and deliver comparable results

we had one this week in DJs sydney, and my boss was kind enough to fly me up to Brisbane to shoot the equivalent there. the event was themed 'Lady in Red' - yes i know a couple black and whites, but i'm so over the red

borrowed a friend's spare 40D, so i was armed with two bodies, the 10-22mm, 24-70mm and 85mm and the 580EXII + stofen diffuser.

after doing the standard required shots (guests, setups etc), i could get creative with my own eye. now have over 12gb of photos to go through, here are some of my favs thus far that i've put on flickr

any words are appreciated.

ps. i think j'adore is probably my favorite perfume on a woman, ever. i recognize it to 50ft and i home in on the shit. Thats a wicked business you get to work at.

as concerns your formal dresscode this is cool, i always like watching Bill Gates in chinos and shirt w/o tie shaking hands with world leaders :p

no i didn't go to the event like that
yes i have worn worse around the office (lycra, thongs, singlets, trackies) - but my boss doesn't mind =P

next assignment could be off to melbourne to take some shots of our newest boutique (just the boutique after hours, no people). they would be going to the president in paris which is a bit scary lol. she's going to show me what she wants before i take it on, or call in a pro. if it's going to require off camera lighting, i won't be able to do it.
