Minolta Dimage F100 4.0 MP

Hi guys:

Could anyone help me with this camera, pls? I got it from a friend but when he owned it he always downloaded pics from a memory card reader, now that I got it I can't download them from the regular USB cable included in the package, I've tried in many PC's and they don't recognize as a new hardware installed....can anyone recommend a site where I can find a driver

What version of windows are you using? If it's Windows 98 or 98 Second Edition you will need to install a driver from the Dimage Viewer CD that was supplied with the camera. If you have a later version of windows no special driver is required. I have Windows XP and the camera appears like another disk drive when plugged into a USB port. The F-100 is USB 1.1 compatible. I recommend you get a USB 2.0 card reader and use that instead. They are relatively inexpensive and are much faster than downloading from the camera and they also save your battery power!
