Hi Everyone,

I am planning on buying a camera in a couple of days and here what I need.

Compact point and shoot
Will be taking most pictures indoors with flash so need a camera that handles that well.
HD Video
At least 10 megapixels
Manual Controls are not important
Wide Angle lens

There are so many different Canons, not sure which one to look at.

If you plug in your search terms, you'll find that there really are only a few current models to choose from. I think we can eliminate the SX1 and SX20 from consideration since they are too big to be called compact.

The SX200 isn't that small either, but some consider it compact. Would it be too big for your needs?

Otherwise, that leaves us with the SD940, SD960, and SD980. Of these, the 940 and 960 have a flash range that is slightly bigger than the 980, but none are really standouts. The SX200 has an even less effective flash.

Any particular reason you've restricted yourself to Canons?

SD960 looks good in my opinion

I just purchased a Canon SD1200 IS.

Compact, shirt pocket sized, takes hi-def still pictures (16:9) as well as other.

Up to 10 megapixels.
Excellent flash range.
3X zoom

Takes Videos (640x480). Sorry, no HD video.

Got it on Amazon - free shipping.
I like it very much.
It complements my Canon SX20 IS.
