G10 Colour Problems

I have recently bought a G10, and it is consistently reading purples as blues - jacaranda (strong mauve) rendered as a straight blue, scarlet bougainvillea as a brick red. This is happening on Auto/Auto, and many other settings/apertures. It happens on the screen before taking the picture/ on the stored picture/ and on the picture when downloaded to computer.

It is a grey import, bought from an Australian company (BlueFly), and sourced from Hong Kong. Is there anything I can do before sending it back to BlueFly ? White balance for instance ?

Its a fault with all cameras. Purple is an incredibly difficult colour for camera sensors to capture, so they usually fail and record it as blue. There's no point sending it back, any others you get will be exactly the same. ;)

I noticed something similar today with my G11 and a sold purple color. Just Shot raw and set the color tone to 4, it turns purple...
