View Full Version : G10 or G11?

Hi everyone.

So I appear to have lost my trusty (if a little beaten up) G10. I left it on a train from London to Chester last night. Some lucky person will enjoy that I'm sure. :(

Anyway, this means I have to buy a new camera and the logical thing would be to get a G11. However, I am not sure if I want to cough up for a G11. It has a smaller screen which I don't really like as I have no need for that. It also doesn't have the features I wanted to see, stop motion and better quality video. So maybe I should just get another G10, right?

The thing is, on my old S80 there was this handy feature that allowed you to set the camera to take a picture every few seconds. This feature was missing on the G10 as far as I could see. So does anyone know if its on the G11.

Are there any real reasons I should get a G11 over a G10?

Thanks for your help

Simon

G11 or S90, I agree. The G10 crammed too many MP on the sensor.

I can hardly believe it, but I called Virgin Trains today and they said that someone in Hollywell (Wales) handed the camera into the station manager there! Virgin put it on a train back to Chester and I collected it from the station today.

There are some good people out there! Yay for good people!

Thanks for your advice. I may well end up getting a G11 anyway as the G10 looks beat up having been used and abused through my work for months.

If you're interested in seeing where I use it for work check out www.thebeachwirral.com and if you'd like to see something a little less... err... trashy, then check out the pictures on my blog at www.beforeiforget.co.uk

I'll check back and let you know my thoughts on the G11, and once again, thanks everyone for your advice.

Mr. Melt-

Thanks to the many kind and honest people out there, your day has been made a good deal better. That is a very heartening turn of events. Congratulations.
