Long time listner infrequent caller:
Shopping for an upgrade to my Rebel XT I devoured the GF1 review.
I was excited to see that the review was updated based on it's use during a multiweek trip. However looking at the review, I can see that updates are noted but I have no idea what was actually updated.
Sugestion:
1. Somehow note what is updated in a review versus just that the section is updated. Perhaps a seperate section after the conclusion stated that X, X and X was updated based on post review experiences.
and/or
2. Generate a seperate "user report" or "review update" based on actual post
review experiences.
While we all love the standardized tests, for those cameras you keep and use (such as the D300s) I think most of your regular readers would enjoy a more casual less structured tale of your adventures with the hardware, especially with sample pictures.
Also, as many people are looking for updates for older cameras noting how it compares to an older clasic camera would be useful in the "compared to" section. A comparison to something I know is more useful than a comparison to something new. My fundamental question is unanswered by must reviews of the GF1: Are the new MFT cameras equal to Rebel XT with the thrifty fifty or would I be taking a step back moving to the GF1 with the 20mm F1.7? Lol. Ok that's a little specific but a generalization on if MFT is matching the older tech would be useful.
Finally I'd like to end on a positive note: DCRESOURCE reviews are overall excellent. I consistently refer your reviews to friends shopping for cameras and especially like the consistency between reviews letting me compare apples to apples even across many years and camera generations.
Thanks for all the great reviews!
