I just picked up a new Canon EOS Rebel XS... I can't believe they don't supply even a small memory card in the 'kit'.. a half-gig card wouldn't even cost them a buck..!!... only thing that keeps the kit 'ready-to-go'..!!

anyway... that said... my query is to the MAXIMUM size memory card that is allowed on this machine..??... the manual only says "compatible with SD & SDHC cards"... no further info... I would have expected details on access times with different cards...but NOTHING...very disappointing.

any info is appreciated... Rob

Buy a class 6 SDHC card for speed. They currently go up to 32 G, and those will work in your camera. Any SDHC card will work, there's no size limit.

>>there's no size limit...
..yeh..that's kinda what I thought...altho, the PROFESSIONAL protocol would be to say that in the user manual... thankx much for your reply...Rob

And they don't supply the little throw away cards because most people who buy DSLRs want big cards (2G minimum) and usually already have them.
