Budget
* What budget have you allocated for buying this camera? Please be as specific as possible. I can spend up to $600 on this camera.
Size
* What size camera are you looking for? Or does size not matter at all to you? I would prefer something on the smaller side that I can fit in my purse.
Features
How many megapixels will suffice for you? I won't be printing anything much larger than 5x7, but I want the images to be crisp. I'm not sure if that's all in the megapixels or not.
* What optical zoom will you need? (None, Standard = 3x-4x, Ultrazoom = 10x-12x, Other - Specify)
I'm not sure about optical zoom. I don't use my current camera (Sony DSC T-33) in zoom very often because it's blurry
* How important is “image quality” to you? (Rate using a scale of 1-10) I want my images to be crisp. The reason I'm looking for a new camera is because the one I currently use has started producing blurry photos, especially in low light. I'd like a camera that does well in low light (shooting people, mostly).
Do you care for manual controls? I don't want manual controls.
General Usage
* What will you generally use the camera for? I mostly use my camera to take pictures of friends/family at tailgates, parties, weddings, etc. I also take a lot of pictures of our dogs and cats.
* Will you be making big prints of your photos or not? No
Will you be shooting a lot of indoor photos or low light photos? Yes, many of my photos are low light/indoors.
Will you be shooting sports and/or action photos? Not a lot
Miscellaneous
Are there particular brands you like or hate? I've only used Sony for my digital camera, have had this one for at least 4 years.
Are there particular models you already have in mind? I've had a lot of recommendations from friends on the Canon Rebel EOS, Canon G10, Canon Elph, Casio Exilim, Sony DSC-H20,
(If applicable) Do you need any of the following special features? (Wide Angle, Image Stabilization, Weatherproof, Hotshoe, Rotating LCD) No
