So a sock was the answer ?

Doesn't seem like a bad one though, kinda protects a bit your flash too, kudos if its waterproof.

Hope they don't ask 80$us per sock though.

There is a hard shell version too. I think the sock was a cheaper alternative and is something they are going to be including in the box when you buy a new one from now on.

I have the 430EX II and it doesn't have range issues like the others, but now I'll be able to use the 580 without worrying about range. :D

Could ask for an extra to use as a hat.

Those RF noises could cut down your IQ/Life expectancy by who knows how long!!!

Not to mention you'd be safe from cell phone brain cancer, added kudos.
