Canon SD780IS HD Video??

Does anyone have an opinion of the video quality of the Canon SD780IS? I'm looking for something to replace my SD880IS for aerial video. I want something that shoots in HD and I happend to see this one at Best Buy today. I also noticed that several of the newer Canons shoot HD video. Opinions on those would be appreciated as well.

The video on this camera is very good. HD quality? That lies in the eye of the beholder. My friend owns one and he is very happy with it. I have seen some video he shot and it was very crisp and bright. As with any of these smaller cameras, you should have a tripod to reduse camera shake. If you plan on using this for areial shots be aware that the michrophone is very sensitive and will pick up the noise of the plane and the wind if you have a window open. You may want to put a piece of tape over the mic hole. Hope this helps.
