View Full Version : Tripod for A95
I've never had a tripod; will all tripods fit my A95 or do I need to look for something specific? Where's the best place to buy an inexpensive tripod?

Tripods...
1. Don't go for cheap - the legs will wobble and they won't thus be much good.
2. There are two kinds of tripod head - those with a 1/4" bolt and those with a 3/8" bolt. Your camera takes a 1/4". There are adaptors available, however.
3. A lot depends on the tripod head. Don't get one with a quick-release adaptor. I always find they make a stable tripod appear wobbly. Get a good stout head and you won't go far wrong. I use a Manfrotto 3d super junior head on a cobra ct50 tripod - on the very rare occasions I actually can be bothered to use a tripod.

One of the best items i ever bought was a 3 quid bendy leg table (http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=99649) top tripod. not very pro but very handy.

Just checking, so a compact camera isn't restricted to a specific tripod; you just have to find one with the right size?
