Canon S90 Shenanigans

Does anyone have any info as to what Canon is doing re the S90 release. In dpreview.com people on the west coast are reporting having purchased the the camera already. None from the east coast which has been blamed on the current Jewish holiday. However, Amazon is still in "pre-order" mode and Bestbuy.com, while offering them straight out for a short period (that I'm aware of) yesterday, by last night was back to pre-order and so is every other major camera outlet on the web that I've checked.

I have also found no quotes or quips from Canon.

If it weren't for the Preview features on this website and others one might almost think the S90 is a myth.

They're being sold at Best Buy in NYC and all over now. So is the G11. There's at least one Amazon merchant that is selling now as well. Looks like the wait is over.

its really pretty but man..200 shot battery life and no HD video. other than that its perfecto
