e550 auto erase

Hi I have an E550 and am having problems when importing pics.

When I do an import to my mac, using iphoto or Fuji software either from the camera via usb or via a reader the xd card is automatically erased and requires a reformat to use it again.

As this happens via a reader as well and in the camera I was wondering if it's the card at fault, it's a fuji XD 512.

Hi Will, I have the same camera, but do not know anything about a Mac. However I think you are missing something in your software. I have not seen any photo software that does not give you the choice of to delete or not delete from the camera or card & if you chose delete you should not have to reformat. Please read the help file of the software you are using. Also, DO NOT reformat the card via the computer, ONLY in the camera. You could render the card usless.
