fuji f410 blurred image

hi,
i have a fuji film f 410 camera...
it was working fine until a month back, when i switched it on, the lacd was showing purple imahges which were all streched out.. completely blurred...
the lcd is fine because the menu of the camera is perfectly visible only the image which is received from the lens is all messed up..
i dont know what the cause is but some tell me it has got something to do with magnetism...
please help as i have been trying desperately to get help and being in india there is no authorised fuji repair centre...

Saw your post and was wondering if you got an answer. I have the same problem with my f700.

I don't recall it being exposed to magnetism.

hey ..

i did nt get a reply to my query from the forum ..
but i had my camera checked up from a retailer in bombay, india..
he took my cam and returned it the next day .. saying that it had a problem with the ccd circuit or something.. he seemed pretty sure.. but along with it he told me that the particular part was not available in india so he would have to get it from singapore..
in the end he quoted a repair price of Rs 8500 ($195)!!

i wasn't in the mood to sheel out that kind of money..
i'm still looking for a repair but along side i'm planning to invest in a fuji finepix f810 or a finepix f10..

My camera is less than 2 years old, Japanese made. It was working prefectly then I recharged it, now it is showing those blurry streaky green and purple blobs with some white areas and that's all. The LCD menus still display okay. Did anyone find a solution for this? I am in Japan so it's not so easy to get information and I'm grrrring to myself. :mad:
