Couldn't find a current thread for pictures of aircraft, so I thought I'd start one. Here are some of my efforts from Heathrow Airport last week

Er suprisingly you might be right Steve there is an airshow thread. Either way they are nice shots. What took you to Heathrow just observing or off on hols? I was really fortunate to actually fly on the Emirates A380 recently its amaizing inside - best flight I've ever been on with service to match.

Hi Phill, thanks for your comments. I just fancied a day watching them all come in (in very quick succession), and was very pleased to catch the A380 - I would love to fly on one someday.
I'm registered on http://forums.airshows.co.uk/ and I'd heard a lot about a cul-de-sac called Myrtle Avenue, a great place for spotting, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'm not a real anorak who records all the aircraft types / numbers etc., I'm just interested from a photography point of view really - something different to point my camera at :)

It looks like a great spotting spot if I can put it that way. I bet the locals get fed up with observers though.

Here is one of a C130 making one of a series of touch-and-gos. Note the 6-bladed Prop. They often come here for such practice because our runway is quite long (5000+ ft) and we're not as busy as other places with runways of such length. I often get good looks at aircraft landing here as I live in a nearly perfect line with our main local runway some 7 miles out. President Reagan came in here in the 707 Air Force One and I thought he was going to drop on my head. :D

Hi Frinky:

The FW-190 is located at the Planes of Fame museum in Chino, California. It was on display for the monthly seminar. An old German pilot was talking about his flying experience, but I wandered off for pictures and missed most all of the talk :-)

www.planesoffame.org.

Funny you should mention the swastika. Photobucket took down that image, but I asked them to restore it and apparently they have. I had an issue once before with a museum sign that had a portrait of Hitler and a photo of him standing in the touring car which was the exhibit the sign was for... they put that back, too.

Now this was FUN! Gift my wife gave me for Christmas.

T-6 Texan trainer. Will hold off on other wing shots as advertises the firm offering the rides - but was fun none the less. Only downside, it was a cloudy day.

This was a video capture so not photographically that clear.
