In the FZ35 review Jeff says that the main video format of the camera (AVCHD) is somehow problemtic to find and edit on your PC because of lack of support on most computers. Well you can get rid of all sorts of video formats incompatiblity by installing the right software on your PC. Google on the following programs:
Mediacoder (transcodes and edits video & audio files in ways that are not posible by the video editing SW that came with your PC).
K-Lite codec pack (makes your computer able to read/play many video & audio codecs that it normally can't).
GSpot Codec Information Appliance (this is only important if you want a quick way to get detailed info about your media files).
Download & install on your own risk there is talk that Mediacoder may include some spyware or adware. All I can say is that I have been useing it since 2007 without any problems.
