Here is a digital camera that deserves your attention. Unlike a lot of other Kodak digital cameras, that have gotten so-so reviews, this is a fairly large digital camera. However, the reviews give it a great rating, and, are you ready for this, it sells for around $USD 280.

That is a pretty hot package. This is a digital camera that works well for both beginners and intermediate digital camera users. It deserves your attention. Take a look, you might be very surprised.

After quite a bit of reasearch and reading this forum I bought a DX 7440 while visiting my son across the country this weekend. I'm absolutely in love wirth this camera. I've taken about 100 pictures and am delighted with the quality. Speed was a prerequisite for me and this camera rocks in that department. I am going to sell my Olympus 2020Z. My son was so taken with the DX 7440 that he bought one too. He is selling his Cannon G5. My only negative comment is that the flash doesn't cover as great a distance as I would like.

We got them at Staples who had a special and with a coupon the price came to $264 plus a free 128 MB Sandisk card.

I thank you all for your input in regards to this camera which helped me decide.

Fred-

I am delighted to hear that you were able to find such a great deal on the DX-7440, and that you are pleased with the digital camera.

You know that you can almost double the flash range of any digital camera by using a slave flash. Take a look at the accessories offered by Sony the offer a nice rather small slave flash (the HVL-FSL1B) with a nice bracket that can be used with any digital camera. I believe that www.ritzcamera.com also has a slave flash.

Here are a couple of pics I took with the new DX7440. I hope i do this right. I have compressed them to about 30kb.

You did it just right. You are doing well with the 7440 and having fun as well, I think.

Well I eventually heard back from the local Jessops store (big photography specialist retailer here in the UK). they are having big problems getting stock of the 7440 but they do expect it in.
