For the APS-C sensor crowd ... α700, α550, α500, α380, α350, α330, α300, α230, α200, α100
After a long time coming out, B&H Video (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&A=ShowProduct&sku=583994&is=REG&Q=) finally stocks the SP AF 10-24mm f/3.5-4.5 Di-II LD (SONY mount) ...
48665
so the widest span in the "ultra-wide" focal range is all but at your fingertips, as a 10mm shot is effectively 16mm on a full frame. That is about as wide of a non-distorted (rectilinear) image as you can get out of a conventional lens. Perfect for those "wedding shots" where you cannot back up ... because of seating or whatnot and still need to get the entire crowd without attempting a panorama!
Also, 10-24mm meets up well with almost any other mid-range lens you have in the bag. (18-70, 17-50, 24-70, 28-75) and at f/3.5-4.5 is a whole lot brighter than most others.
Man ... this wait seemed like forever.
Funny ... my personal need for this lens has expired with the purchase of the α850, but you can believe that the lens is definitely the most cost-effective way to go. ;)
