I have got to see alot of your images on flickr and this site and i was wondering what everyone did with their photos. Do you print them off to exibit or as your profession or do you mainly post them on photo sharing sites to show off your work. I have made a coupe of photo year books from my point and shoot camera but now i have a DSLR my hard drive is getting full of every type of image possible. Before it was mainly holiday shots but now im taking shots of flowers, birds and things which never interested me before. It was great doing a beginners college course because our work was viewed and critiqued, but now thats finished. I think the hard thing for me is finding my muse, at the moment its my dog but some of the landscape shots from Lukas and creative shots from Rooz really inspire me to move out of my comfort zone.

unfortunately, they mostly stay on the Hard Drive, flickr and facebook (the latter if I can be arsed...i hate it really).

i have printed some photobooks.

When i buy a property, I will buy some large prints to hang.

More of a problem for me is backing up. I have about 600GB space on my Laptop. About 80GB is photos. They are backed up on a 1TB external HDD, then that external HDD is backed up on another. The 80GB are also backed up online to www.carbonite.com (excellent in my opinion).

cheers phil, yeah finding my laptop is running slow with all my pics. I tend to put more family stuff on facebook (also hate it!!!) and use flickr to be inspired by you guys, and to show off my not so great images!

so which lens/lenses are you selling?

Losing the 60mm (unfortunately). I just dont use it, and I need to free up some funds for an impending life altering experience (my GF is coming over from Budapest for a month to look for work and I have to support her financially...my beloved lenses will have to make way :(:( )

and to show off my not so great images!

Just had a look through your images...you have some fantastic photos on there!

The more you take, the more you know what you want to take...:)

thanks Phil for the kind words about my images. Too many bills to pay and not enough over for lenses in my case. Will the 60mm auto focus on the D40, if so what price do you have in mind for it.

cant really discuss it on this forum (against the rules). I will send you a PM.

The 60mm WONT autofocus on the D40

Mine end up on my walls, in albums, scrapbooks, Flickr and if I'm lucky other peoples walls. My standards for what's a keeper are much higher now than they used to be. Looking back through old shots, I find lots of stuff that's not worth keeping anymore.

Landscapes are my absolute favorite thing to shoot, but when I first started I was taking pictures of everything. Just try a little of everything to see what you like.

Edit: BTW, the Life Thru A Lenz group on Flickr is good if you want some critiques on your photos.

Most of mine end up on my hard drive and flickr. Some I've had printed for either myself or family/friends who've wanted copies. A few have been used on a few websites with my permission (mostly my wakeboarding pics).

Mine end up intended but almost never seeing a hardcopy form, partially because it would involve only selecting a handful to print out of a large collection, so pitifully it resides on hard drives and websites.
