What is the best price that you can get for a brand new one? Yes.... and is that from ebay?

If its from eBay id say check the sellers rating and if all checks out go for it. I got my D90 brand new from ebay for around $850 a couple months ago.

It's not from ebay. It's from another photo board and I have no problems trusting the seller. I can get a new one for $851 from a person I know locally.

What I don't really know is how used is "7000 clicks" ?

dont really know about prices over there but 7k is bugger all. you'll be upgrading your camera b4 your shutter dies. i wouldn't give it a second thought.

$851 for body and lens compared to $820? Is the $31 worth it?
I'd pay the extra few buck and get the new one complete with Nikon warranty.

When Nikon released the D90 they made a big deal about the shutter being tested to 150,000 actuations. If you take one photo an hour from now on the camera will only last you 16 1/2 years. :)

From what you have said so far my feeling is the go with a new one for the relatively small difference in money.
