Oh yeah, a $10-including-shipping hotshoe bullseye bubble level off ebay, straight from China. Not the most technically precise thing in the world, but it'll go a long way if I shoot from the hip or in liveview. The nice rubber fit means it will not slide out accidentally, unlike the hotshoe cap that came with the camera, which has come out 3x in one month. I think this should come standard with every camera! If you're looking for an addition to your camera on the cheap, this is a good one.

I also standardized my lens caps and filter sizes with step up rings, another good cheap camera upgrade. Now I only have to deal with 58mm and 72mm filter threads, and only 72mm filters. Except the pancake lens, it would look weird, and I don't think that screw on cap will come off accidentally. But if it does, it'll get a 58mm lens cap too, besides, I need the 58mm so I can sometimes put filters on it.

i have that one too, raven's one looks much more compact. i love it.

Really? I had actually thought that this was my new camera, and comparatively clean to my old one :D:eek:. Amazingly I've never had to dust off the sensor.

I looked at those large levels, but they're too big for me. The reason I use Olympus, and the small level, is because it fits in a cargo pocket with the 25mm pancake lens on. Which may contribute to the dust. But it's useful if traveling.

(If you look close, you'll also notice I removed the eye cup to further improve pocketability).

If your all for portability why not just use the one on your tripod...

I level my tripod before placing the camera in it, its a bit trickier with ball-heads which is one of the reasons im thinking of going back to normal levers, but still very doable.

I use the one jekostas linked. I like that style better because it works in portrait orientation. I still don't understand how you live w/o a tripod.

I'd sleep with it if it was curvier, but then it probably wouldnt be as useful.
