Somebody took advantage of a security hole in one of my other scripts to obtain the admin password for the forums. They were able to log-in as me, post a message, and delete some threads. I have restored from backup from a few hours before the incident, and have taken measures to prevent this from happening again.
I have no evidence that any user data was compromised. That said, it won't hurt to change your password (I did).
Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. I took your advice just to be safe.

Yes I wondered what was happening too. Thanks for the prompt action Jeff. You just wonder why people would want to do such a thing....it's beyond me.

Showing off to their peers, most likely...

If "peers" are defined as "smelly infantile slobs who are way too fat or way too skinny..." I know a few of the type.
Woah! Looks like I'm catching up to Jeff in number of posts! I'd better cut back...
I saw it - a black hand photo and a rude message in German.

Yep...
Made their presence known Downunder too.

Ah well... The good thing is - if they get caught they go to jail for 10 years.
