On other forums there has been an alarm raised as to the availability of genuine Panasonic replacement batteries and how screwed we would be if we could not get them. Especially since the newer firmware mandates that we use the official Panasonic battery "DMW-BCG10".

After having looked in several palces it almost looks like a genuine concern.
However I just happened across this retailer:

http://www.accessorycircut.com/productdetail.asp?productid=4047

and I am wondering how legitimate they are.

That took me all of 30 seconds to find. Probably best to stay away. And incidentally it's spelt Circuit unless I'm missing something, and I don't buy from companies that can't spell.

I guess it depends on whose legitimacy you're querying!

Is the battery a counterfeit with a shonky label, produced in Mexico?

Is the dyslexically-named AccessoryCircut a reputable dealer?

Hmmm... :)
