:)
what raw shots? and what question??
I dont take raw shots with the LX3, only JPEG. Had a go at HDR, but it was a hassle converting to a file recognised by photomatix (and corel paintshop pro!).
Where did I say I used RAW?

lmfao........
I just assumed that Rooz would be the first one with an S2 here. He started with a small camera (D80) then went to another small camera (D300) and started photographing small subjects (bugs) then moved to a larger camera (D700) and moved from bugs to larger subjects (Lucas) but now he seems to have moved to even larger subjects (that ugly bloke) so an even larger camera is the next logical step. :D

The last blog poster has got to be peaved a 7k camera and Leica refuses to provide a battery? wtf No wonder he's switching to Hasselblad and et em Nikon. Don't do it herc182

of course you do change the systems because the success ratio of photos depends on the cost of your camera, this is why Rooz was constantly upgrading his gear :p
IF seriously, one chap has Leica smaller digital D4 or something like this and recently gave me photos on USB after our trip, what I saw was true let down, whereas on Leica LCD all photos looked brilliant on Eizo Pro monitor they looked dull, washed out and underexposed... what for one would pay 700-800 Euros to get such a garbage?
My older Ixus with just 2MP does a much better job, no joke.
Leica can make glass but not cameras IMHO, at least from what I seen. Otherwise one can go and by Mamiya or Hasselblad which dropped the prices of recent :p

I really cant see who would go for this system over the hasselblad, which are established in that market.
Why would the DSLR housing appeal so much to a studio photographer?
There must be a market, or they wouldnt have bothered, but I cant see it!

The market is called multi millionaire collectors. These things must be so rare on the market that they instantly become a collectors item..... :p

Leica cameras deserve a place behind the glass on your shelf but you do not want go with that around for taking photos. What Leica does exceptionally are lenses, but when it comes to camera this is a big let down of otherwise excellent optic.
I have examples of pix from Leica D Lux 4, one my buddy who wants to look cool in every aspect has got this camera. He is very proud of it because he never will admit it to anyone he made a big mistake. Looking at my pix he always says I am doing a lot of PP though in reality I do only WB and lighten or darken images and saturation adjustment.
My impression of Leica was: very cool looking baby to impress girls if you do not mind missing tons of nice photos in between.

And IF someone likes special rare lenses one can always add Zeiss or Voigtlander ... Leica is not the only name in high-end optic. I seen some guys using these two but never Leica... all Leica can is to attract people with deep pockets and little skills for photography IMO.
Leica are still trading on the cache of Henri Cartier-Bresson I think that in their hearts they believe that this
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/20/Cartier-Bresson%27s_first_Leica.jpg/180px-Cartier-Bresson%27s_first_Leica.jpg
is still the most desirable camera in the world and that they believe that one day through some mysterious event their pre eminent position in photography will be restored.
It's a shame that the rest of the world is marching to the beat of an entirely different drum.

buying Leica = waste of money and missing many good photos.
all what you get is Red Dot logo of Leica for impressing girls, that's it. speaking of which today morning got a Jaguar magazine delivered to my postbox with a new XJ car images in it... http://www.jaguar.com/gb/en/#/new_xj/
buying this car might be a much better way of impressing girls than spending on Leica Red Dotted camera. the only problem is new XJ is not available still for buying ;):p

Leica was a legend for its time and nothing will take that away from Leica. However, modern Leica smells exactly like Panasonic.
