Help!: My SDHC reader device won't work

Can someone here help me understand why my SanDisk MobileMate SD Plus memory card reader won't work?

I bought this thing new, and I tried (on my XP SP2 machine) to read a 4 gig card. I tried inserting the adapter with the tiny SDHC card, and inserting the sdhc card itself, and my computer would not recognize either.

My computer recognizes that it's got "something" attached, but it will not recognize any files or folders on the card. I know there are valid files on the card because I can review them on my camera.

If it won't read either card, it's likely that your card reader doesn't support the SDHC format. If you want to use a card reader, you'll have to get one that specifically does support that format.

OOPS. I forgot to mention: this one states explicitly that it supports microSDHC, miniSDHC, SDHC, multimedia card,MMCmobile.
