On the G9 there are two options for numbering the produced jpg images, continuous (which automatically increments the image number by one each time) and auto reset (which starts the value at 0001 each time). The created images are numbers like IMG_0016.jpg, so that they will increment from 0001 to 9999 when the continuous mode is used.
I would like to change the starting value for the numbers, eg. start at IMG_4000.jpg. It seems like I was able to do this before.... but can't figure it out now. I tried to upload an image IMG_3999.jpg to the camera, but it then renumbered the image automatically to the next available.
Any clues on how I can start the numbering at a specific value will be greatly appreciated!
