how to downsize picture size

Trying to reduce size of image with editing software, any suggestions?

In Photoshop, go to image=>image size. Make sure that "Resample Image" and "Constrain Proportions" are checked and change the width or height to whatever you want. The other will change to match what you have changed.

Other software does it in different ways, but since you don't say what you are using, I only hope this helps.
