Battery drain problem with SD300?

I've noticed that on many occassions, I'll put a fresh battery into my SD300 and then when I go to use it about 2 days later, the battery's already dead, even though I hadn't turned it on once between when I put the battery in and when I wanted to use it 2 days later. I don't remember this ever being the case when I had the S400. Anyone else have this occur to them and is this normal?

I haven't noticed that with my SD300. I can turn on the camera at least a week after last using it and still have plenty of juice.

Hmm.... wonder what the problem might be then cause the same thing happens with the extra battery I have as well.

canon eos 300d has a very good battery life, at least for me, i can shoot 1.5 gygas of photos for 2 says straight and the battery still works, of course telling me to recharge but works just great!
always buy a extra battery, for a special moment you may have after the first one died or just to keep going!
u can buy also the AA battery system.

This probably won't help much, but are these normal AA batteries?

Mine doesn't drain, works fine even after several weeks without recharging - they are not AA batteries.

is this problem occuring with only one battery ? or you have one spare battery too with similar happening ? if its happenning with all batteries then may be something is wrong with the charger or in the worse case the camera itself. In such case you should better consult nearest service fascility.

I just got a brand-new SD300 and the battery is dead after it has been powered off for a couple of days. If you figure anything out please tell me!
